    [Resolved] Drivehub not found by update tool

    A friend of mine received his drivehub this week but the update tool doesn.t recognise his drivehub.
    He pressed the right button, the green eyes are blinking but update tool wont show connected drivehub.
    He watched the videi update tutorial and has done exactly the same.
    Any idea what he should do?

    regards

    How to generate a full system report on a Windows PC

    A DirectX Diagnostics report details the hardware and software configuration of your computer - these reports allow our technical support team to review your computer for hardware and software conflicts to recommend solutions to crashes and other issues.

    1. Press the Windows () + R keys on your keyboard simultaneously, to launch the 'Run' prompt. Type "dxdiag" without the quotes, and click 'Ok' as per the screenshot below;

    2. You may see a message asking whether you wan to check if you drivers are digitally signed - simply click 'No' and proceed. Then you'll see the DirectX Diagnostics Tool appear. Choose 'Save All Information';

    3. Give the resulting text file a name in the 'Save As' dialog box, and choose a location where you wish to save it, then click 'Save';

    4. Attach the txt file to a post or copy and paste the text to a service such as pastebin and provide the link.

    Having the same issue here. Plug it in while holding P2 button, Windows makes the little *boop boop boop* sound as if something was connected but didn't work, but it does recognize it as Drivehub in the Device Manager.

    Update tool does not recognize that the Drivehub is connected.

    Dxdiag attached.

    Edit: I'll note that when I first plugged it, Windows did make the good *bleep BLOOP* USB sound but the little pop up thing said driver install was unsuccessful or didn't find one or whatever it says when it doesn't work. After that first time though, that little pop up never appeared again.

    Does it generally take this long to resolve an already resolved issue? Seems to me the posters above got their fix same day. I can’t recommend or even support your product if I can’t use it, and a week for delivery plus three days waiting for a quick fix is a little bit much y’know.

    I need my speed. Thanks!

    Re: [Resolved] Drivehub not found by update tool

    I've been hesitant to send this reply because I know how frustrating it must be for you guys to see them. But I, too, have tried everything suggested here, including running both the older and the newer "Run as Administrator" fixes & rebooting, trying the Mac Update Tool instead, holding the right button on connection, etc. and cannot get a PC or Mac Update Tool to recognize my DriveHub. I have discovered that when I connect the DH to the Win7 PC, it gives the "device connected sound", and shows up as an "HP Printer (BIDI)" in my devices (see attached pics). But. it. will. not. recognize. the DriveHub!

    I sure hope you can make me look like a dope and help me fix this issue. Pretty please? Requested DiagDx file attached.

    Thank You

    P.S. Link #3 in the FAQ is often referred to as the answer to:

    #3 Drive Hub won't detect in Windows 7

    but it links to a post about the drive hub disconnecting from a PS4. Is that an erroneous link, or am I missing the connection between the PS4 issue and a windows issue?
