Halo Master Chief Collection - Halo 2 Classic Alternative 2

The CronusMAX PLUS Halo MCC GamePack Collection are customized to work with each title in the Halo MCC series - unlike other MODS that you may find on the market that generically tries to work with all games in the Halo series (and poorly so), our GamePacks are tailored to the specific feature set of each title, in this case Halo 2 Classic (also known as Halo 2). This is the second alternative version of our Halo 2 Classic GamePack. The Battle Fire Combo MOD in Class 2 has been redesigned so that you can achieve much better results with Double/Quad Burst Shots. This took many lines of extra code so a number of MODS were removed that are in the first Halo 2 Alternative GamePack in order to make room (Alternative Melee Shot, Melee Shot 3.0, Continuous Melee Shot 3.0, Carry Assist and the option not to have the Double/Quad Shot cancel the reload).

A very special thanks to GamePack legend KittyDawn (Andrew) - he has spent hundreds of hours playing Halo to make this pack just right for you!

Hold SELECT+START for 2 seconds to enter menu mode.
Hold SHARE+OPTIONS for 2 seconds to enter menu mode.
Hold BACK+START for 2 seconds to enter menu mode.
Hold VIEW+MENU for 2 seconds to enter menu mode.

IMPORTANT
Always keep the SELECT/SHARE/BACK/VIEW button pressed while in Menu mode. To exit the menu mode, release the SELECT/SHARE/BACK/VIEW button.

Player LED 4 will blink the number of the current Class (DS4 / CronusMAX PLUS Backlight LED will flash Pink).

Player LED 3 will blink the number of the active MOD for the current Class (DS4 / CronusMAX PLUS Backlight LED will flash green).

NOTE

If the Player LED 3 is not blinking, it means either no MOD or the Default setting is selected for the current Class. See below for instructions how to navigate between Classes and MOD's.

You can also pre-configure your GamePack settings using the GamePack Configuration Interface (GCI) in Cronus Pro. The GCI opens automatically when you load a GamePack to a memory slot, or you can simply click on the memory slot number to the left of the loaded GamePack to open the GCI. As soon as you select your preferred settings, close the GCI and click the PROGRAM DEVICE button. To select the GamePack you wish to use on your console, press the Memory Slot button on the CronusMAX PLUS so that it highlights the corresponding number on the LED (so if you have a GamePack loaded to Memory Slot 1, the LED on the CronusMAX PLUS should display the number 1).

Halo Master Chief Collection - Halo 2 Classic Alternative 2

1
Class 1
In Game Button Layout
Want to use the game specific control options but other MODS make this impossible and only allow you to use the universal layouts? No problem. All the games layout options are covered here, not just the universal one (None of which I like! - KittyDawn) Select the button layout you use in game and the GamePack will automatically adjust all the MODS to your preferred layout. NOTE: This step is very important. If you don't select the correct layout that you are using in game, the MODS in this GamePack will not work correctly.

Rapid Fire
When Rapid Fire is enabled, you can turn virtually any semi automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon. This creates a very unique advantage for players using semi automatic weapons. While Rapid Fire will not usually make a fully automatic gun shoot any faster, it can have positive side effects on fully automatic guns such as reducing recoil, helping players conserve ammunition and achieve more headshots.

HOW TO ADJUST THE RAPID FIRE SPEED
You can adjust Rapid Fire speed and test your settings within the game. (In Menu Mode: LB/L1 Reduce Value Increases Rate of Fire - RB/R1 Increase Value Reduces Rate of Fire - RT/R2 Test).

Halo 2 Optimized Rapid Fire
This Rapid Fire mode comes to you courtesy of Lex Lost (CronusMAX Community Staff member). He has created some timings which not only improve almost every gun, they also eliminate recoil. With this MOD, you can empty an entire clip of the SMG and you will still be looking straight ahead!
2
Adjustable Rapid Fire
Adjustable
With Adjustable Rapid Fire you can always get the optimum firepower for your favorite weapon. See the menu system instructions above for more information on how to adjust your Rapid Fire speed in this mode.
3
Burst Fire
Adjustable (See Class 3)
Burst Fire can reach a faster rate of fire with burst type weapons. The weapon can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 round bursts (See Class 3 for more details).
4
Battle Rifle Double Shot
Double Fire (or Double Shot as the community likes to call it) is a glitch in Halo 2 that allows the players to fire two consecutive bursts from a Battle Rifle. This MOD performs the double fire glitch by firing 2 bursts of 3 shots and then automatically reloads without the animation. See video below for a demonstration (internet connection required).
5
Battle Rifle Quad Shot
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as MOD 4 above but with 4 bursts of 3 shots.
6
Continuous Battle Rifle Double Shot
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as MOD 5 above but will continue firing until the clip is completely empty.

3
Class 3
Burst Fire
Burst Fire is designed to turn semi automatic and automatic weapons into burst firing weapons. When this feature is enabled, your weapon will fire in bursts and can be set to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 round bursts. Burst firing can help reduce recoil and conserve ammunition.

Class 5
Alternative Battle Rifle Mods
If you would like to use Rapid Fire for say your Magnum but would also like to switch to your Battle Rifle and bang off a quad fire burst, do you want the hassle of having to press the directional pad and then trigger? No, me neither. So again showing that I play the games while creating these GamePacks, I have created this class so you can either just use the D-Pad for the quad shot or right bumper. But wait, you probably use the RB/R1 to switch grenades and wouldn't be able to change them if RB/R1 is activating the double fire burst. Don't worry, I've got you covered there too. If you choose RB/R1 to active this MOD, whichever control was there is automatically reassigned to the D-Pad - KittyDawn

IMPORTANT INFO
See Class 6 for more information on how to active the selected MOD in this class.

Battle Rifle Double Shot Auto Reload
Double Fire (or Double Shot as the community likes to call it) is a glitch in Halo 2 that allows the players to fire two consecutive bursts from a Battle Rifle. This MOD performs the double fire glitch by firing 2 bursts of 3 shots and then automatically reloads without the animation. See above for a video demonstration (internet connection required). However, there is a second or two pause where you cannot shoot until the reload is complete. You can cancel that reload by switching to your secondary weapon and back to primary again (See MOD 2 below).
2
Battle Rifle Double Shot Auto Reload Cancel
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as above but uses the Cancel Reload glitch in Halo 2 so that you can switch to your secondary weapon and then back to your primary weapon and continue firing. This MOD performs everything automatically. A secondary weapon is required for this MOD to work correctly.
3
Battle Rifle Quad Shot Auto Reload
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as MOD 1 above but with 4 bursts of 3 shots.
4
Battle Rifle Quad Shot Auto Reload Cancel
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as MOD 2 above but with 4 bursts of 3 shots.
5
Continuous Battle Rifle Double Shot
Requires Secondary Weapon
Same as MOD 2 above but will continue firing while the activation button is being held until the clip is completely empty.

6
Class 6
Alternative Battle Rifle Mod Activation
In this class we choose how to activate the chosen MOD in Class 5. If you Choose option 1, the action that would normally be performed by the Right Bumper/R1 in your layout, will automatically be reassigned to the D-Pad.

IMPORTANT INFO
While in this Class - hold back/select and press B/Circle to Enable/Disable the Alternative Battle Rifle Mods. Any re-assigned button functions return to normal when deactivated.

WARNING
If selecting bumper button activation, ensure you do not select the same bumper button activation in Class 8.

1
Double Melee
Enables the Double Melee BXB combo. BXB uses the Cancel Reload glitch to enable the player to melee twice in the same amount of time it takes to melee once. This MOD is slightly slower than BXR but has the advantage of not requiring a full clip to perform.
2
Melee Shot
Enables the Melee Shot BXR combo (equipped gun must be fully loaded). BXR uses the Cancel Reload glitch to enable the player to melee and fire a round in the same amount of time it takes to melee once. The melee hit will deplete the opponents shields and the shot should finish them off giving you an instant kill. This MOD is quicker than BXB but does require a full clip to perform.

Class 8
Secondary Melee Mod Activation
In this class we choose how to activate the chosen MOD in Class 7. If you Choose option 1, the action that would normally be performed by the Left Bumper/L1 in your layout, will automatically be reassigned to the D-Pad.

While in this Class - hold back/select and press RB/R1 to Enable/Disable the Secondary Melee Mods. Any re-assigned button functions return to normal when deactivated.

Class 10
Quick Reload
This MOD will automatically cancel out of the reload before the reload animation has finished with the melee button. Although the animation has not finished, your gun it already reloaded! Not only does this allow you to shoot quicker, if an opponent catches you in the middle of a reload, you'll smack them in the face without pressing a button and can finish them off with a nice headshot.

The Quicker Reload MOD will cancel the melee, enabling you to shoot as quickly as possible.

The Quick Reload MOD waits for the melee hit to register before canceling. It takes a fraction of a second longer before you can shoot again but your melee hit will do damage.
