USB Hub Guide

Firmware v1.20 added the ability to use pretty much any off-the-shelf USB Hub with a CronusMAX PLUS (USB 2.0 is recommended, we do not recommend using a USB 3.0 Hub), finally making it possible to have full time authentication using non-native controllers on a PlayStation 4 (i.e. no more disconnects or interruptions every 8-10 minutes) and also greatly simplifying the authentication procedure on PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles so that it's now easier than ever to connect your controllers to your console via the CronusMAX PLUS without any connecting/reconnecting of controllers, waiting for AU or having to repeat the process on every power cycle.

Remember that even though you are using a USB Hub with multiple USB ports, you can only game with one controller at a time per CronusMAX PLUS. The Second controller connected is used for security authentication only, not for gaming.

TROUBLESHOOTING AND SUPPORT
As some USB Hubs work better than others and some hubs may require a slightly alternative sequence of connection to the console, staff will be on hand to help you on a case by case basis. We've setup a dedicated support forum to aid and assist users of this specific firmware to make sure you get the best experience possible. There will also be a database of recommended USB Hubs to buy if you don't have one already or if the one you have isn't compatible. Click Here for access to the USB Hub Support Forums.
