Cronusmax NOT bannable - confirmed by Xbox Live support :)

So after using the CronusMAX for the past few days, I was constantly "reported" in game by some very angry people who couldn't match the precision this amazing thing allows. (Of course I don't tell them I am using kbm).

So after all this, I got slightly concerned. I made a false XBlive account to ask the XBlive team directly. This is what they said.

There is no way for them to detect the hardware is in use as it, in its simplest form, just replicates controller outputs.

Even if they wanted to ban for it, they cannot detect it. I also wouldn't listen to a word first line support say on any matter, they work to a script, have no authority and know even less.

I got your product so I can use my XB1 controller on PS4 and it works beautifully.

I checked out the game packs and was wanting to mess around with some online(XB1/PS4/PC) but was wondering....

I know they cannot detect the device, but what about using rapid fire or anit-recoil etc? Or getting reported for cheating?

Like I said I just wanna check it out a and mess around a little with it in unranked matches but don't wanna get banned for it. Have people been banned that you know of? Do you know if games or the online services somehow look for this kind of cheating? Thanks!

    Thanks!

Pretty selective on your answers there, hehe.

I'm sorry to be a bother or whatever but it's to find a straight answer on this stuff. I'm guessing because straight answers don't really exist other than they can't detect the device itself.

When it comes to macros, gamepacks, whatever, the gist I'm getting is that it is unlikely. That said, I'll be staying away from using them in online PC games.

    Thanks for the response!!!

PS> Like KittyDawn said, what you say is technically true but some chat support guy going off a script isn't exactly an authority on the subject. Btw, that was what the OP was referring to when he said, "Well that sucks then."

Rapid fire does not make your weapon shoot any faster than the game allows. All it does is allow you to not have to spam the trigger. Xbox live, PSN only check to make sure you are not modding your console. They can care less about a controller, they care more about consoles that can mod the code of the games or bootleg copies of the game. As long as you don't do anything to cut their money they can care less about rapid fire mods. They sell rapid fire in Walmart

How about using mods like recoil control? Are those bannable?

No, in general those types of mods aren't detected, rapid fire however is a mod that could get you banned... also jitter mods can get you banned
