Thumbs up Tested / Compatible USB Hubs

Here is a list of known compatible USB hubs that have been tested working with the CronusMAX PLUS Firmware v1.20+

Links are provided when possible to the best deals found online. I will also add port numbers when possible too.

Feel free to add to this thread if you have tested a USB hub yourself - provide the brand name, mode/serial number and if possible the layout/sequence of the port numbers.

Note - the best hubs for CronusMAX PLUS compatibility have the GL850G Chipset

This is awesome! If you want to keep your connected devices as minimal as possible, this should definitely do the job. I'm going to pick one up asap for my setup.

    hi!
    does anyone know, if the
IOGEAR GUH285 has got the "auto power on"- feature for the xbox one controller? Or is there any other hub listed here, that has got this feature? (the cronusmax hub is too expensive for me because of shipping costs)

    greetings

Belkin F4U019-BLK-TG USB 2.0 4-Port Travel Hub works great. If you look at the Belkin logo (where the "N" is essentially next to where the cable to the host device is) upright on the hub itself, port 1 is directly above the logo and port 4 is directly below.

    Link: http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F4U019-.../dp/B004IDGTQ4

(note I tested it on the WHITE colour model but I presume no difference)

thanks for your answer, but the belkin hub you mean seems to be an older model, which is also not available in germany. so another one would be great :-)

    Hi,

will this work for a xbox one elite controller on a ps4?
Will the numbers be on the same positions?
I just bought exactly the same model for €6,99.

    Thanks for helping

if it's reported as working it means it works on all controllers and all consoles

Try the port numbers first - if they don't work - find out for yourself: https://cronusmax.com/manual/finding_...rt_numbers.htm

Do any of these compatible hubs have and work with external AC power adapter.

I want a powered hub so my Astro Mixamp still has power whilst my ps4 is turned off.

Re: Tested / Compatible USB Hubs

Tested and confirmed working (thanks to birchbox): Quirky Contort 4-port USB Hub
/e imho the design of this hub is a little silly. I definitely wouldn't recommend buying it for this specific application, but if you have one, it will work.

ps4 controller plugged into port closest to the usb using the most heavy duty and reliable cable I own, and xbox elite controller (batteries removed) plugged into the port furthest from the usb using the long cord that came with it (which can be a little janky at times with other devices, but seems to work fine in this scenario). Once cronus is plugged in, xbox controller powers on automatically, does the little circle thingy for a second and boom, I'm good to go on my slot 1 to switch the share button to a touchpad button.

My setup troubleshooting tips/experience or whatever:
When I first tried it, I had already confirmed the settings, and it wasn't working at all (sorry, don't remember the exact symptoms). So I plugged back into my computer and now the options say ps3, so switched it back to automatic. Tried it with the ps4 again and I was seeing some weird behavior: The xbox controller worked, the cronus would connect and switch to my slot number, then after a few seconds the display would switch to alternating between A and U I believe. After 10 minutes or so the controller would disconnect. Checked all the settings again, nothing wrong) Decided to give it a rest, because a friend joined my group wanting to hit up the darkzone, so just stuck with my ps4 controller for the night. Powered the ps4 down and when I came back to it the next day it worked perfect.
I think there were 2 possible causes to my issues: 1 - the ps4 simply needed to shut down. 2 - the ps4 controller being on before trying to connect caused the problems.
Now I will make sure to power my ps4 up via the button on the console, and leave both controllers off, let the hub turn them on. So far this method is working flawlessly. Of course, this is only day 2.

Can anyone confirm if leaving the ps4/cronus/hub/controllers all connected then powering on via console works? I haven't tried it yet, planning to, just curious if anyone knows.
/e tested and confirmed working. Couldn't help myself, working from home today, had to try it out real quick.

Also, wanted to say, I love this product, thank you! I bought an xb1 to play halo with some irl friends ( we used to rock that game back in the day ), and when I heard about the elite controller, I pre-ordered immediately and fell in love. Unfortunately all of my gamer friends are on ps4, so that is where I normally play. I used to stare woefully at my elite while my hands cramped using a shitty sony controller. NO LONGER! Love it.
Good luck with the xbox one wireless receiver work, I anxiously await its completion! If you need a beta tester, I have the receiver already .

Why can't I just use my Xbox wireless adapter, Cronusmax plus, and 360 controller?

off topic but how much quicker is it if I used a wired 360 controller to the Cronusmax, then to my Xbox one USB vs a 360 wireless controller snd wireless adapter? How much lag am I really going to cut into it?

lastly, is there a method, beyond leaving my console on 24/7 for my controller to stay authenticated and work? It's such a pain to reauthenticate each time.

http://www.gamestop.com/accessories/...-30-hub/122554 I picked this one up yesterday and it is working. I played BF4 on my PS4 with an Xbox One Elite controller. I did have a few moments where my weapon did not fire, so I have one of the other tested ones posted on the way.

There isn't any noticeable lag. However due to the nature of wireless anyway - even without a Cronusmax, wired is always preferred by pro gamers

It's not a pain when using a usb hub, it's completely automatic - did you not read the manual?
